    Welcome and Announcements

    Silent Prayer and Preparation

*  Call to Worship:                                                                                                     Psalm 29

Ascribe to the Lord, O sons of the mighty, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.  Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

The Lord sat as King at the flood; yes, the Lord sits as King forever. The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

*  Hymn:  PH 475                 “Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven”                    Lauda Anima

*  God’s Greeting:

Grace and peace be to you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

    Amen.

The Lord be with you.

    And also with you.

Our help is in the name of the Lord,

    Who made heaven and earth.

Blessed be God,

    And blessed is his kingdom, now and forever.  Amen.

*  Prayer of the Day:

Lord God, whose Son came into the world that he might destroy the works of the devil and make us heirs of eternal life, grant that we, having this hope, may purify ourselves even as he is pure; that when he comes again with power and great glory, we may be made like him in his eternal and glorious kingdom, where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

*  Response:                   “Christ Is Made the Sure Foundation”                    Regent Square

Laud and honor to the Father, laud and honor to the Son,

laud and honor to the Spirit, ever Three and ever One,

One in might, and One in glory, while unending ages run.

Confession and Prayer

    Prayer of Confession:

O great and everlasting God, who searches and knows the thoughts and intentions of our hearts, we confess that we have not loved you with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength.  And we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have loved what we ought not to have loved, and we have coveted what is not ours.  We have not been content with your providence over our lives, or with the provisions you have made for us.  We have complained in our hearts about our families, our friends, our health, our vocations, our trials, and about your church. We have sought security in those things which perish, rather than in you, the everlasting God.  Cleanse and forgive us, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives to make intercession for us according to your will.

Silent Prayer and Confession

Minister: Amen.

   Assurance of Pardon:                                                                                                Titus 3

    Response:                                   “Sanctuary”

Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary—pure and holy, tried and true.

With thanksgiving I’ll be a living sanctuary for you.  (Repeat)
